How to Update the Source Password on a Centova Cast v3 and Shoutcast v1 Server. Print

We have gotten a few tickets over the past few weeks from clients having issues updating their Source Password on their Centova Cast v3 Server with Shoutcast v1. This article should answer the question: "How do I update my Centova Cast v3 password with a Shoutcast v1 Server?"

Please follow the steps listed below:
  1. Log in to your Centova Cast control panel.
  2. Click the Settings Link in the menu on the left side of the page. It is located in the Configuration Group.
  3. Enter the new password in the text box labeled Source password:
  4. Click the Update Button at the bottom of the page.
  5. Click the Stop Link in the menu on the left side of the page. It is located in the Server Group.
  6. Click the Start Link in the menu on the left side of the page. It is located in the Server Group.
Your DJs should always stop the autoDJ before broadcasting live, and restart the autoDJ when their broadcast is complete.  This is explained in the following article:
